Look what I can do!

…Thank you, God, for Photoshop Elements!

Day Fifteen

“A few of my favorite things.”

Day Four

I want to share a photo from Halloween:

Yes, that is correct.  My boyfriend went as God’s gift to women.  I must be the luckiest woman on the planet.

(All kidding aside, I would like to think so!)

Of Candy Apples and Tractor Pulls

One of my most celebrated times of the year comes late in August, when the heat is usually unbearable in Ohio.  Last year, Dave introduced me to the Portage County Randolph Fair.  It does not have the same pomp and circumstance of the Ohio State Fair, but it certainly out measures the Summit County fair, of which I experienced growing up.  City fairs tend to be stale and forced.  But Portage County has real farms, with International and Deere tractors, horses, beef cattle and the like.  The corn rows here stretch for miles, and where there is no corn, there is soy.  While the area may not be nestled amidst the flat lands out West, this is the start of farm country in Ohio.

At some tiny fairground in near Marysville outside of Columbus, I went to my very first tractor pull.  It was love at first pull.  Since then, I have made a point to attend at least one pull a year.  It is an addiction – and so needed to be quelled again under a blazing, setting sun this past Friday.

A Cycling We Did Go

Documented here are the pictures from the summer solstice ride. Clearly, I am late in posting these photos as the summer solstice was June 21.

We started in Stow and ended in Peninsula at the Winking Lizard for a night of drinking and debauchery.

When presented with a treat, Aries performs.  However, in the video, she recently learned how to speak on command.  And sometimes, when attempting to do tricks, she likes to half-ass her way through them.  Overall, she’s awfully cute.
